Detect iron and steel embedded in concrete
For checking the location and depth and diameter of reinforcement in concrete. The Ferroscan unit is a battery-powered portable system that can be used to detect iron and steel embedded in concrete.
Results displayed as a pictorial image
With the Ferroscan unit, the size of a reinforcing bar embedded in concrete can be determined with an accuracy of about 10% while the depth can be determined with an accuracy of about 0.1 inch up to a depth of about six inches. The data is stored in the unit in digital format and the results displayed as a pictorial image. By downloading to a portable PC, the scanned image can be printed for interpretation and referral.
